Dating back to 1881 and sympathetically converted from a former cow byre and hayloft this charming and beautifully presented cottage nestles in a peaceful setting within extensive private grounds with views across to Helvellyn and Blencathra and the surrounding Lakeland fells. With many attractive features including beamed ceilings, open stone work and inglenook style fireplace it is an ideal choice for a couple seeking a romantic or relaxing break. Set on the edge of the Lake District National Park and only 1 mile from the pretty village of Greystoke where there is a shop for everyday basics plus fresh produce, a pub serving good food and for cyclists there is a cycle café with further shopping facilities in Penrith just 7 miles away. It is a haven for walkers and cyclists, there is abundant wildlife including red squirrels with golf, horse riding and fishing available locally. Only 4 miles from Ullswater with its steamers and water sports and just a 20 minute drive from Keswick it is a truly idyllic location for exploring the spectacular scenery surrounding the tranquil lakes.
