Situated in perhaps the most scenic and popular area for walking within the Dartmoor National Park in the heart of Devon, Swallow Cottage has pretty views of the East Dart River and the moor beyond. The central location of the cottage enables guests to access the moor immediately from its doorstep. This recently completed holiday barn conversion enjoys the rustic exterior of a traditional Dartmoor building with the benefits of a modern, light and airy internal layout which will appeal to both couples and families alike. The property is set alongside a small country house hotel in the picturesque hamlet of Postbridge and guests have access to its 36 acres of private grounds. In addition, Swallow Cottage has its own private terrace for alfresco dining as well as a superb open plan living space with a wood burning stove at its heart. A wonderful holiday retreat, whatever time of year.

Postbridge, with its legendary 12thcentury clapper bridge and a National Park Visitors Centre, provides superb walking for all abilities. The many local traditional pubs and tearooms provide a great way to finish a good days rambling or fishing with the offer of freshly cooked meals or a cream tea. The local area provides horse riding and fishing opportunities as well as the chance to visit the nearby ancient settlement of Grimspound.
